RockShox 35 Gold RL, 150mm Travel, 44mm Offsetįront: Shimano HB-MT400-B, 15 x 110mm Boost, Center Lock The Norco Torrent is a case of aggressive geometry versus longer travel, and brings a level of simplicity that inspires just the right amount of nostalgia around the good ole days of mountain biking. Steel has a reputation for being tough and compliant, and when it's engineered right, aluminum does, too. BURLY METAL FRAME: For 2021, we decided to offer the Torrent in both steel and highly-engineered aluminum to give you some options for when you're fully committed to a burly line that you're fairly confident you can pull off. EQUIPPED TO DESCEND: To support riders through the lunacy that the Torrent's inspires, each bike is equipped with 4-piston disc brakes, shorter seat tubes, long-stroke dropper posts and aggressive knobby 29er tires. This allows more powerful pedaling, increased climbing traction and added grip and control when descending so you can confidently attack the rowdiest trails. The unique combination of our next generation of Gravity Tune, longer reach, slacker head tube angle and steep seat tube angle provides a more forward weight distribution within a longer wheelbase. Designed from the ground up with Trail geometry, 45mm rims, and 3 tires. The build is rounded out with a RockShox 35 Gold fork and an X Fusion dropper. The Torrent is Norcos first ever 650B Plus trail mountain bike. Norco’s plus-size hardtail trades labour-intensive laziness on flats and climbs for outrageously uncouth gravity. For this, you’ll get a SRAM SX Eagle drivetrain (the lowest Eagle option available from SRAM) combined with TRP G-Spec Trail S 4 piston brakes. Norco’s Torrent 7.1 is a grin-inducing steamroller of a bike. PROGRESSIVE DESIGN: The Torrent uses Norco's holistic approach to fit and geometry to create the ultimate all-mountain hardtail experience. Torrent, or a fast-moving stream of water, is a very fitting name for this extremely quick, agile, and strong hardtail. The Norco Torrent S comes in two build options and a frame only option. Gravity Tune with short responsive chainstays Announced late summer 2015, the Torrent 7 is Norco’s aggressive all-mountain hardtail and also happens to be the BC-based bike company’s first crack at the increasingly-popular 27.5+ game. Geo based around 150mm short offset 29" fork Progressive All Mountain Hardtail Geometry The Torrent's modern features and new progressive All-Mountain design provide stable, agile descending, paired with climbing capability that would make a mountain goat jealous – perfect for any rider looking to bring their trail riding to the next level without the extra expense and complexity of rear suspension, and a new challenge for advanced riders trying to keep themselves honest. ![]()
